menlo park exterior
on a tree lined street in a dense post war neighborhood, modern aesthetics and an unusual approach to parking lend vibrant context to an otherwise visually traditional neighborhood.
the design/build objective was to develop small front and rear landscapes as usable and inviting spaces. the front space for visiting with strolling neighbors while children and dogs play, would allow for car parking at night. the rear exterior space utilized more for private family time, would provide an extension of two bedrooms and master bath adjacent to the rear deck area.
custom concrete pavers, concrete and steel planters, custom steel house numbers, steel trellises and deck spaces are composed in a flowing, terraced arrangement that offers both an intimate and open exterior environment.
